Tap dancing

It's been a while since I posted anything related to music creation, but I just came across this video demonstration on Harmony Central and it floated my boat, so thought I'd share.

I've created somewhat similar sounds at various times, including the synthy tones at the end where I once actually had a keyboad player check his gear over because he though the keyboard was doing it! The guy is the video does it especially well though, and I'd love to be able to play/use gear that well. I've saved it so I can go back later for ideas.

Hope you enjoy the clip.

  1. That Nova ND-1 delay is pretty sweet.

  2. There's a lot of sweet delays in there - I'd like the 2 strymon units myself, since I don't want to do the 'Edge' thing.

I've also got a birthday coming up, and there's just a tiny possibility that one of these (http://www.donnerdeal.com/pedal/the-newest-2013-nux-time-force-effect-pedal-white.html) may be finding it's way here across the sea. Or maybe not - we'll have to see.

On Monday I took the Roland guitar synth & Godin xtSA along to the second worship practice with the new team. It's a shock to realise how much I'd forgotten about control and the finesse required to use it, and need some woodshed time before I can use it live again.
